Radon in the metro Atlanta area is a very real danger causing potentially very serious health issues, worst death. Radon causes more deaths than drownings, drunk driving, falls in the home, and home fires!

the Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today, only cigarette smoking causes more lung cancer deaths.

The EPA basically has 3 zones of potential Radon levels. Let’s look at the map for Georgia http://www.epa.gov/radon/zonemap/georgia.htm You can clearly see that North Georgia has moderate to severe levels of know Radon exposure. Cobb county, Fulton County, Gwinnett County, and Dekalb County have the highest know levels according to the map. Even if you live or are purchasing a home in an area that has lower known Radon levels according to the EPA, We and the EPA still recommend having Radon testing by a qualified professional completed.
